Agnna’s practice emphasizes business immigration in which she handles a wide variety of temporary visas, work permits, immigrant visas, permanent residence petitions, waivers and naturalization applications. Her practice involves advising companies on NAFTA, corporate compliance, I-9 employment eligibility verification and employer sanctions. Agnna also assists individuals with family-based immigration and other U.S. immigrant benefits. She has successfully defended clients before the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, U.S. Department of Labor and U.S. Department of State.
Agnna has counseled immigrant entrepreneurs, emerging start-ups, mid-size companies, and Fortune 500 companies in various industries, including insurance, local and state government, fashion design, high-technology, pharmaceutical, automotive, electronics, healthcare, biotechnology, banking, insurance, architecture, financial, telecommunications and construction. Her background in human resources management along with her service in an in-house legal capacity for two global companies provides her with insight into the immigration needs of large companies.
Agnna comes to Embarkation Law Group from the San Francisco Bay Area where she specialized in U.S. immigration law. Prior experience includes serving as an immigration attorney for WHGC, PLC and Tressler LLP, and as an immigration law clerk at Gordon & Rees LLP. During law school, she served as a judicial clerk to the U.S. Department of Justice, Executive Office for Immigration Review, Immigration Court in San Diego, California.
Agnna earned a Juris Doctor degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. An active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), she has been appointed to liaison positions with the Southern California Chapter and the Northern California Chapter. Her involvement also includes being a co-contributor to an AILA publication and participating on AILA panels. She is a member of the Canada Chapter of AILA and the Canadian Bar Association, British Columbia Branch and its Immigration Law Section. Agnna is fluent in English, Spanish and German.
