Refused. What now?
Gregory James has appeared before committees of both Houses of Parliament on immigration matters, and has written articles on immigration matters in the Globe and Mail, Atin Ito, Arab News, Pakistan Post, Al-Miraat, the Financial Times, and other media.
He has been interviewed on immigration matters by CBC TV news, CTV news, the New York Times, The Toronto Star, the New York Post, 640Toronto radio, and other media.
He has presented trainings sessions to the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Immigration and Refugee Board, Citizenship and Immigration Canada, the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants, and has lectured at Osgoode Hall Law School, Seneca College and Centennial College.
Gregory James is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants, a member and former president of the Refugee Lawyers Association, and a former Chair of the Board at Neighbourhood Legal Services.
He is a former senior executive (Assistant Deputy Chairperson) at the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada.
Gregory James has been involved in immigration matters since 1983. He was called to the Ontario bar in 1988, after graduating with a political science degree at the University of British Columbia, and in law from Osgoode Hall Law School.
He is recognized as an Authorized Representative in immigration matters by the Canadian government.
