Jacqueline Rose Bart is a Certified Immigration Specialist by the Law Society of Upper Canada with over 25 years of experience in Canadian immigration law, including at Canada's largest law firm, the High Court of Justice, London, UK and at the UNHRC in Geneva. She is the author, co-author and/or editor-in-chief of fifteen (15) immigration law books, including a 3,000+ page Canada/US Relocation Treatise, updated quarterly, in addition to over 90 other immigration law publications.

Jacqueline is currently the President of the Immigration and Nationality Commission of the International Association of Lawyers (UIA) and Vice-Chair of the Employment and Immigration Committee of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA). She is also the Vice-Chair of the ABA, Section of International Law, Immigration and Naturalization Committee and a member of the Steering Group for the International Law Practice Management Forum.

Jacqueline has chaired and presented at over 75 international and national bar association and congresses worldwide, including the IBA, UIA, IPBA, CBA, OBA, AILA, ABA, CCAT, AIJA and WTO. She has received multiple awards as the Leading Immigration Lawyer in Canada and Immigration Lawyer of the Year-Canada and was rated as the “most highly regarded” immigration specialist in Canada and ranks 5th in North America (by the law research sponsor of the American Bar Association SIL). Her team of immigration professionals has been described as ‘impressive’ and ‘outstanding’ in the media. She is a retired member of the diplomatic corps in Toronto as an ex officio honorary Consul of Ecuador.

Jacqueline founded BartLAW Canadian Immigration Barristers and Solicitors in 1994. BartLAW provides full service immigration and citizenship law advice to corporations and individuals in addition to representation at hearings, appeals and judicial reviews at the Federal Court of Canada. In her spare time, Jacqueline volunteers for various children’s charities and provides pro-bono immigration assistance at the Sick Children’s Hospital in Toronto.
