Karin Kosarzova is the Manager of International Student Advising and Programs team at Simon Fraser University (SFU). Originally from the Czech Republic, Karin has made Canada her home, completing her BA and MEd at SFU. In progressing the development and delivery of comprehensive advising programs for international students, Karin qualified as an RCIC in 2014 to advise students on immigration matters.
As a past international student Karin passionately leads a team of staff supporting international students, assisting to make the SFU experience socially rewarding, culturally enriching and professionally stimulating. In continuing to focus on improving students’ transition to SFU, Karin designed and launched the Graduate International Mentorship Program in Fall 2013, utilizing the outcomes of her Masters research.
In her spare time Karin enjoys sailing, snowboarding, teaching dance, traveling, and hiking with her two dogs.
