Mr. Hafeez has a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Economics, Finance and Accounting; has Business Admin Credentials from England; and is a York University qualified Dispute Resolution Professional (holds Qualified Mediator designation from ADR Institute of Ontario).

Former Banker and a seasoned Financial & Business Management Consultant, he transitioned into immigration in the early nineties when he started to prepare Business Plans and submissions for other consultants’ investor and entrepreneur applications. Ever since, he has been successfully operating a Toronto-based immigration consulting practice. He enjoys high recognition in ethnic communities by way of his frequent TV & radio appearances.

He has presented seminars on CAPIC and other forums on Practice Management, Accounting & Bookkeeping Rules, etc. He is an active member of ICCRC, CAPIC and Toronto Board of Trade and is a Commissioner of Oaths. He has held responsible Board and Committee positions with various organizations. For several years, he was on CAPIC’s Board and its ExecutiveCommittee. He assumed the role of National Treasurer when CAPIC was confronting turbulent times brought about by external forces. He was instrumental in persuading the Board to take extraordinary (and at times unpopular) financial decisions which did turn out to be beneficial for CAPIC. Being familiar with Council’s culture and aspirations, this seasoned professional has a passion to safeguard members’ interests and the necessary skill set to proactively introduce financial and operational efficiencies so that this new regulator can avoid pitfalls.
