Andrew received a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Civil Law from McGill University. He has been a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada since 2011.
Andrew’s immigration practice focuses on permanent residence applications under federal and provincial economic programs, all types of business immigration, applications for sponsorship under the family class and temporary resident applications. He also appears frequently for clients at the Immigration and Refugee Board, as well other administrative tribunals. In addition to his immigration practice, Andrew also represents individuals and corporations in administrative matters, professional and academic discipline cases, as well as Small Claims Court litigation.
Prior to joining our firm, Andrew largely practised in various areas or civil litigation, including medical malpractice, regulatory matters involving physicians, insurance defence, commercial disputes, sexual assault claims and matters before various administrative tribunals. Prior to working as a lawyer, Andrew taught for 5 years at the university level while pursuing his studies at McGill University.
As a native Colombian, Andrew is fully fluent in Spanish. He also has working proficiency in French. He is also collaborator for several Spanish language publications and an active member of the Toronto Hispanic community.
